I'm looking at trading in my current vehicle and buying a new one, but not from John Elway on Broadway. They are an embarrassment to the legendary name they have on the building; this Chevrolet dealership is not worthy of the name, and John should be embarrassed to have his name on such a poor customer service dealership in Denver. The biggest complaint is that they lied about what was wrong with my vehicle to up the ticket price for their service department. I looked when I got home with a flashlight to see if they has ever been any foreign liquids on the skid plates, and they were clean as could be.

I saw one of their cars on facebook marketplace and was instantly interested. I talked to them about how i wanted to trade my car in, all was well. Jeremiah (the one who posted it) was extremely helpful and was communicating excellently! I do live a state away from colorado so I wanted to get it delivered. The price was $600 which is not bad at all. However things started to go downhill here, i was not told when the delivery guy picked up my car, was on his way, or any info on that. The delivery guy arrived with the car but not at the address I asked for it to be delivered. He was also not aware it was a trade in. Neither of us knew what paperwork they needed because we weren’t told anything about that. It also arrived without a temp tag. I called and they said they would email it to me. It has been almost 2 hours and I still have not received a temp tag in my email. Which is a bit frustrating because I need a car to get places of course.

Sean was great to work with during my Tahoe purchase. He was friendly, easy to communicate with, and made the process smooth from start to finish. I had a really great buying experience with John Elway Chevrolet yesterday when trading in my 2021 Trailblazer (this was also bought from the John Elway Dealership) on a new 2026 Trailblazer! I had a really great buying experience with John Elway Chevrolet yesterday when trading in my 2021 Trailblazer (this was also bought from the John Elway Dealership) on a new 2026 Trailblazer! Jason was instrumental in getting me into my new Trailblazer. Without his work and due diligence on trying to get the best deal for me...in going over a number of different options...I probably would have stuck with my old Trailblazer. Jason also went above and beyond in getting my box speaker...amp...and wiring removed from my old vehicle and made arrangements to get it installed in my new vehicle. Daryl also did a great job going...in going over ON-Star and everything it provides. She also offered me a tour of the dealership...but I declined this due to the fact that I have already had numerous trips around the dealership already. Just to add...in the six years that I have been dealing with the John Elway Dealership...it has always been a friendly and good experience.

To clarify right up front, this rating (in my eyes) is technically 3 3/4 stars. I will start with the positives: I was searching (pretty much nationwide) for a specific type of truck, with the search leading me to this dealership. First truck didn't pan out, however the salesman (Amine) did his due diligence, and actively searched for another one - and did, indeed find one. Because this was an on-line search, with me being 1500 miles away, communication was done via phone calls, emails and/or text. They provided the typical videos, photos, etc., and then once I had decided that this vehicle was going to suit my needs, an out of state transaction took place. All went well with that transaction. However..... fast forward to when the vehicle arrived in my area (I had it shipped via a "hot shot" hauler). I hop into the "new" (used) truck, and pull around to where my other vehicle was parked. I turn off the "new" truck, in order to obtain items from my other vehicle - hop back in, start it up, and VOILA.... the check engine light is on. I shrug - it could be any silly little thing (even a loose gas cap can trigger that stupid thing). A day or so later, I take the "new" truck to the local self-serve (not drive thru) car wash, and that's when I notice that BOTH trim pieces on the roof (LH/RH) are missing. I also notice that 1 of the trim pieces was in the bed (under a tonneau cover, so I didn't see it right away). Hmmmm, I think. I contact the salesman first - tell him what I've just found (things that I wasn't made aware of, upon initial inquiry). He has to "run it up the flagpole", and gets a service guy involved (Jeremy). Again, polite, cordial, and he did what he needed to do, to keep a satisfied customer (they covered most of the cost of the parts and installation). Where I have an issue (and where the less than 5 star rating comes into play) is that these issues were not initially disclosed, AND another more "hidden" issue came to my attention, as well. Even though the truck had a clean CarFax, and no accidents reported, it was obvious that it had been at some point hit in the rear end - a friend (former Ford engineer) spotted it right away - pointed out that the bumper was replaced, and there was some minor body damage to the driver rear quarter panel, just in front of the bumper. I got an estimate to repair this "minor damage". The quote was $2400. So...... while I may be way far off the mark, it *seems* to me like the dealership was QUICK to take the vehicle in, and they were QUICK to move it out the door. And in that haste, transparency wasn't, well - transparent. I do believe that they weren't being purposefully deceitful, however I also believe that they knew that because I was 1500 miles away, they might be able to let some things slide, because it was a used vehicle, and a "done deal" on the sale. Had I been there, to be able to see it, in person, I most defintely would've pointed all of that out, and negotiated a better price. Perhaps it was simply something overlooked. Perhaps not. All in all, not a horrible experience, but not a "perfect" one, either. Oh - and the check engine light? It was a "cat code".... two different shops (including a dealership) confirmed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced..... an expense of anywhere from $2000 to $6000. John Elway did not step up to cover that cost (understandably so).
