We took our 2018 Impala in for general maintenance and after about an hour or so wait was told that due to heavy leaking and they recommended resealing the pan and we leave the car for several days. We were amazed that from our November 2023 visit that the oil pan could deteriorate that quickly, and unfortunately we left the car without voicing our concern. We have always had John Elway service our previous car as well as the Impala and have been pleased with the service department. After several days waiting, we called and was told it was almost ready and when we went to pick it up, was told told that they were probably waiting for a part, etc. and were given a rental car. When we were told it was ready the labor charge was $2,100 plus parts. After talking with the lady who handled the payments , the charges were dropped from and estimated $2,451.57 charge to $1,668.69. We are both in our 90's and are not up with the latest technology, but it seemed to us that it only took less than an hour to find the leak, but several days, and labor to fix it. We will certainly be more careful when we bring the car in for its next maintenance check.
